For those wondering where we're located, we are. We change. It's like one of those sushi conveyor restaurants, and we're dragged along with it. As much fun as it sounds (and it is, quite), we don't get to see the sun most of the time since we're so deep, and we have our own day/night timezone we go by that we've called "SuperLazer Time." It just so happens to be very similar to GMT most of the time.
We see the most sun when we rotate around Norway.

I certainly have my own concerns about the treatment of moo deng but um. well i think some of you may just be racist
#this ^ isn't directed at any post in particular but instead a lot of comments ive seen. but now im gonna talk about other posts down here#and prefacing anything i put in the tags here with DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH#but the biggest post ive seen going around rn about moo deng being mistreated and the general quality of khao kheow zoo is questionable#claims that the enclosure is mostly concrete seem to be false from all the sources i can find#the concrete section looks like its specifically around the feeding area which fits zoo care guidelines which specify that the feeding area#be a surface that can be easily cleaned separate from the substrate and is a surface present in other zoos#the lack of deep water also seems to be purposeful? older videos of the same enclosure show deeper water areas#and looking back through the news every baby pygmy hippo announcement from every zoo i could find mentioned periods where the baby had to#learn to swim and was slowly introduced from shallow water to deeper water as time passed#this was also corroborated by fowlers zoo and wild animal medicine volume 8 which suggests keeping the mother dry and then slowly#introducing water as the baby grows as a potential best practice#damn im treating this like a paper now. anyway the negatives#there are absolutely things that strike me as bad eg. public access to the hippos and the way the keeper interacts with them#for the keeper stuff in particular i'd really like to see input from someone who has experience as a zookeeper with pygmy hippos#the public access is something that i def think the zoo could improve on and even older footage from years ago shows people sticking like#selfie sticks and shit off the side of the railings and right into the hippos faces#however again the zoo seems to be making efforts to curb visitor behavior which is tough when you go from having 800 visitors a day to#4000+ and you can't remodel the whole exhibit right then and there#all this to say! just do your own research and take somewhat inflammatory comments on the internet with a grain of salt#also just to make it clear im not making any sweeping statements on khao kheow or the treatment of moo deng im just summarizing what i foun#based on what's being said in the most popular post on the subject ive seen.#for the potential like three people who will read all this hi :) hope ur having a nice day

why do i always just forget i clearly need to drink electrolytes often. i’ve been feeling like shit for a while and remembered it’s been a minute since i got a powerade or gatorade or whatever, and a week or two since i stopped eating grains of coarse salt here and there throughout the day. “it’s probably the pregabalin withdrawal” i say. “stopped eating as much salt and i’ve been fine” ???? dude what do you even mean fine? is barely able to think fine? not being able to lift your arms to tie your hair for more than like half a minute because your muscles start burning fine?? like yes sure the pregabalin withdrawal is certainly a factor but dude. this is not a new occurrence come on
like i will be in complete all-consuming despair, grieving that i can barely put two thoughts together, about to cry to the thought of having to make freaking instant ramen for dinner in like five hours because my body feels too heavy and my muscles don’t want to respond. drink a glass of gatorade and suddenly after a few minutes i believe in hope again.
i mean i still feel very much like shit and heavy and sore. but man. you can make everything so much lighter and easier with this one simple trick. if you would just [tightens fist] remember
#of course a fact of the matter is not knowing exactly why it is that electrolyte drinks just. make me feel so much more okay. physically and#mentally. cause like it’s not like i don’t keep myself hydrated otherwise#and not having a concrete answer as to why makes brain default to ‘not actually a thing that’s real’#but man for the love of fuck#mental note i need to get myself a thing of sea salt or similar

finding confirmation that kirell was indeed 24 in the original game, and her being a high schooler when she died in argo's choice was a bizarre retcon, is Validating for a number of reasons (i KNEW she was a depressed mafia NEET. i FUCKIN knew it). it also explains philio's complete and total nonexistence in AC, because i'm pretty sure they realized what an Incredibly bad look their previously established relationship would be, and i am now ten times more irritated about that than ever lmao
#7 days decide your story#7 days philio#7 days kirell#argo's choice is an extremely mixed bag of genuinely good writing and bizarre nonsensical canon-wrecking mess#(even after the final route reveal; which was genuinely fantastically done)#it is unfortunately an Extremely shoddily put together game overall#but that in particular really truly launches it into 'none of this is canon except for the bits i feel like using' territory for me#i am a huge phirell shipper and philio is one of my favorite blorbos and that is EXTREMELY not the dynamic/characterization i showed up for#it made me insanely fucking uncomfortable not being able to concretely dismiss it; and it's a huge relief to finally have confirmation#but MAN. MAN.#7 days tag#dyn: what orpheus must have felt#7 days crit tag#the crit files#grooming implied cw#i was SO disappointed at him being the one (1) character completely left out of it too. i am a pillar of salt to this day

merry crisis guys!!!!
#‘it isnt christmas yet’ ‘it has been christmas for h o u r s ur late’ sshhhh my timezone is law ok~~~#cheers to the last week of the year~~~~~~~~~#sometimes i forget that it’s supposed to be a christian holiday though… i remember going to church for the ‘mas exactly once#it was boring :( i didnt even get the little bread biscuit thing :( i’ve always wanted to try it tbh#only bc it sounds crisp when people bite into it. i wonder if it has the same texture as like potato chips or sth#or like those ‘toasted bread chips’ that occasionally pop up in the stores… i like the cheese bread variations#or maybe it’s crisp at first bite then turns soggy (like those potato wheel crackers) m a n. do i hate those potato crackers.#they’re all salt; no substance. the dried and fried onion crackers are 100000000 times better#ngl i had no idea what those onion crackers were called for. like. 90% of my life so i called them ‘suntanned keropok’#only bc my mother used to dry them out under the sun on bright days (or in the toaster when she got lazy) before frying them#since frying them straight away without drying made them super hard instead of light and crispy..#man i kinda want onion crackers now… the slightly over-browned ones were the best~~~~~#anyways!!!! free holiday!!!!!!! no work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#i’ll try to get ch36 of idol sengen up later~~~~~~~ i was gonna do part of it earlier but then i took 3 hours to finish my dinner sobs#not making any concrete promises though~~~~~~~~ all i want for crisisssss is asunaaaaaaaa#(asuna and… onion crackers… that is… aha~~~~ keropok bawang loml…)

Currently thinking about how Rebecca Surgar didn't draw Concrete, but she still took responsibility for it's creation because she felt like she had failed her black audience by allowing that to happen. Meanwhile, Thomas Astruc may or may not had created the name Ghetto Blaster, but he willingly defended it.
One of these is real allyship. The other is whytship.

Manchester scientists have created a new material, dubbed 'StarCrete' which is made from extra-terrestrial dust, potato starch, and a pinch of salt and could be used to build homes on Mars.
Building infrastructure in space is currently prohibitively expensive and difficult to achieve. Future space construction will need to rely on simple materials that are easily available to astronauts, StarCrete offers one possible solution. The scientists behind the invention used simulated Martian soil mixed with potato starch and a pinch of salt to create the material that is twice as strong as ordinary concrete and is perfectly suited for construction work in extra-terrestrial environments.
In an article published in the journal Open Engineering [EB1] , the research team demonstrated that ordinary potato starch can act as a binder when mixed with simulated Mars dust to produce a concrete-like material. When tested, StarCrete had a compressive strength of 72 Megapascals (MPa), which is over twice as strong as the 32 MPa seen in ordinary concrete. Starcrete made from moon dust was even stronger at over 91 MPa.
This work improves on previous work from the same team where they used astronauts' blood and urine as a binding agent. While the resulting material had a compressive strength of around 40 MPa, which is better than normal concrete, the process had the drawback of requiring blood on a regular basis. When operating in an environment as hostile as space, this option was seen as less feasible than using potato starch.

BD Bricks: A Premium Building Material for Strong, Durable Construction
BD Bricks are a high-quality, locally manufactured building material commonly used in construction projects across Bangladesh and other regions. Known for their strength, durability, and consistency, BD Bricks are widely favored by contractors, architects, and builders for both residential and commercial developments. These bricks are a staple in the construction industry due to their reliability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use.
Composition and Manufacturing
BD Bricks are typically made from a mixture of clay and other natural materials, which are molded into rectangular shapes and then fired in a kiln at high temperatures. The firing process helps the bricks to harden, making them highly durable and resistant to weathering, water absorption, and structural stress. The quality of the raw materials used and the precision in the manufacturing process are crucial factors that determine the final strength and uniformity of the bricks.
There are several types of BD Bricks available, depending on the specific needs of the construction project:
Traditional Clay Bricks: These are the most commonly used form of BD Bricks and are valued for their classic look, thermal efficiency, and long lifespan. They are ideal for creating solid walls and can withstand both heat and moisture, making them a popular choice for homes and commercial buildings.
Fly Ash Bricks: These are a more eco-friendly option made by mixing fly ash (a byproduct of power plants) with lime, gypsum, and other materials. Fly ash bricks are lighter than traditional clay bricks, offer better insulation, and are increasingly popular in modern construction due to their sustainability.
Cement Bricks: Sometimes called concrete bricks, these are made from a mixture of cement, sand, and aggregates, providing an alternative to traditional clay bricks. Cement BD Bricks are strong, durable, and well-suited for load-bearing walls and structural applications.
Advantages of BD Bricks
BD Bricks offer a variety of benefits that make them a popular choice in construction:
Strength and Durability: One of the key features of BD Bricks is their strength, which helps in building robust, long-lasting structures. When properly made, they can endure a range of environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, moisture, and seismic activity.
Cost-Effectiveness: BD Bricks are relatively affordable compared to other building materials, especially when sourced locally. Their availability in the market makes them an economically viable option for both small-scale and large-scale construction projects.
Thermal Insulation: BD Bricks are naturally good insulators, helping to regulate indoor temperatures. This makes them a good choice for buildings in hot climates, as they can reduce the need for additional cooling and energy consumption.
Aesthetic Appeal: With their solid and uniform appearance, BD Bricks lend a timeless, traditional look to buildings. They are often used in both interior and exterior applications, including walls, facades, and pavement.
Environmental Impact: As construction trends shift towards sustainability, BD Bricks made from eco-friendly materials like fly ash are becoming more popular. These bricks reduce the environmental impact by recycling industrial byproducts and using less energy in the manufacturing process compared to traditional clay bricks.
Applications
BD Bricks are used in a wide range of construction projects, including:
Residential Buildings: From single-family homes to multi-story apartments, BD Bricks are commonly used for building strong, durable walls and foundations.
Commercial and Industrial Structures: Due to their strength, these bricks are ideal for constructing office buildings, factories, and warehouses, where durability and stability are essential.
Infrastructure Projects: BD Bricks are also used in public infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and parks, providing long-lasting and low-maintenance surfaces.
Architectural Features: The aesthetic versatility of BD Bricks makes them a preferred choice for decorative facades, boundary walls, and garden walls.
Conclusion
BD Bricks are an essential building material in the construction industry, particularly in Bangladesh, offering a combination of strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness. With a variety of options to choose from, such as traditional clay bricks, fly ash bricks, and cement bricks, BD Bricks are adaptable to a wide range of construction needs. Their environmental benefits, alongside their proven performance, make them an ideal choice for creating strong, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing structures that stand the test of time.
